EMERGENCY EXIT Captivates Sea Star Festival Audience in Umag

On 29 May, EMERGENCY EXIT brought its immersive ecological performance to Sea Star Festival in Umag, transforming the Tesla Main Stage into a powerful artistic call for environmental awareness and collective action.

Blending hypnotic live soundscapes by Satori, visionary visual art by Eyesberg, and the spectacular large-scale performance language of the legendary artistic company La Fura dels Baus, EMERGENCY EXIT brought together internationally acclaimed artists and creators in a unique immersive experience. Through striking visuals, dynamic movement, and original music, the project transformed the festival space into a living dialogue between people and the planet, inviting audiences to reflect on humanity’s relationship with nature and its collective responsibility for the future.

Presented in front of thousands of visitors at Sea Star Festival, the performance continued EMERGENCY EXIT’s mission of using art as a catalyst for ecological engagement. Developed through a collaboration between EXIT Foundation, Boom Festival, La Fura dels Baus, Buro Nuvo, and Sea Star Festival, the project demonstrates how culture and creativity can inspire meaningful conversations about our shared future.

Following its premiere at EXIT Festival, and subsequent presentations at Boom Festival in Portugal and Sea Star Festival in Umag, EMERGENCY EXIT continues its international journey, bringing audiences together through immersive artistic experiences inspired by a simple yet urgent message: “Peace on Earth, Peace with Earth.”

EMERGENCY EXIT is supported by the European Union through the Creative Europe programme.

Emergency EXIT

Emergency EXIT is an ambitious and unique international cooperation project that brings together leading cultural organisations, festivals, and sustainability experts to champion environmental responsibility through the power of the arts.

Led by EXIT Foundation (Serbia), in partnership with La Fura dels Baus (Spain), Green Events (Netherlands), Sea Star Festival (Croatia), and Boom Festival (Portugal), the project unites diverse creative forces in a joint mission to inspire action for the planet. Supported by the Creative Europe programme, Emergency EXIT blends artistic innovation with environmental advocacy to explore how festivals and large-scale cultural events can lead the transition toward more sustainable practices.

Through co-created performances, workshops, and public engagement, the project fosters collaboration between artists, producers, and audiences. At its heart lies a shared message—“Peace on Earth, Peace with Earth”—delivered not only through art, but through real change in how events are designed, produced, and experienced.

Emergency EXIT will develop and tour a unique interdisciplinary production across key European festivals, while also promoting the Manifesto for the Salvation of the Planet, an evolving pledge inviting all cultural actors to commit to sustainability. At the same time, the project will be presented at forums such as ADE Green, amplifying its impact across the creative industries.

More than a project, Emergency EXIT is a platform for cooperation, exchange, and transformation — inviting all artists and festivals on this planet, and each of you, wherever you are, to join this mission for a more conscious future!
